I am not happy about the decision made to close the Francis-Stevens Education campus. I'm even more upset that no members of the Ward or Council have come into our school and interacted with our children to see how well they're doing. My daughter is in pre-school at Francis- Stevens and her teacher, Ms. Schrauth has been nominated and received one of the top awards for an educator in the District and she is AWESOME! The way she interacts with the children is nothing short of amazing. Her classroom assistant Ms. Johnson is by far an amazing person as well. am not happy about the decision made to close the Francis- Stevens Education campus. I'm a new resident in Washington, DC but have lived in the DMV area for ten years and this is by far a horrible experience to encounter. The way she interacts with the children is nothing short of amazing. Her classroom assistant Ms. Johnson is by far an amazing person as well. Now this is comforting as a parent. I plead and beg of you to please reconsider your decision until you can see for yourself how wonderful this school is. It's not just a school with walls, it's a strong environment that fosters healthy growth, positive interaction with others and provides a solid educational foundation. Francis- Stevens Education Campus is a School with PURPOSE!!!
