Concern: The issue is that Hendley too far. Building is dark and drabby.
Hardship on families: burden on older siblings. Overall concern is that kids are too small and too many gangs of kids and find someone else to take my child to school.

Idea: Encourage multiple uses in the building. Model like Carlos Rosario – adult education, as well as kids and seniors. UDC used to be at Ferebee Hope, seniors use it to. Consider that Washington Highlands families are coming back and the kids will come back to Ferebee-Hope.

Need: We need to educate parents about choice and about the rules for charters and the benefits for DCPS. More active recruiting by DCPS and from families. We have to reach the families where they are.
Suggestion to combine the ANCs into joint education meeting about school consolidations, and focus on educating the parents.
